Meet OUR FOUNDER
With over 30 years experience in the Education sector, I started my career with a job offer to work in a pre-school in Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia. From there I moved to the UK, working in schools as a Primary Teacher, which was my original qualification.
On my return to Australia I began working back in Early Childhood, and studied further to gain an additional qualification as an Early Childhood Teacher, in addition to my Primary qualification. Throughout my career I have had the privilege of working in roles as an Early Childhood Teacher, a primary teacher, a school Principal, an Educational Leader, Centre Manager, Area Manager and Practice Coach, where I delivered training outcomes across the areas of Program, Pedagogy, Practice, Interactions and Environments – so QA’s 1, 3 and 5.
The sector we are so passionate about is facing increasing challenges. We are in a space where confidence in early education has diminished. That is why we felt the need to form a community of support. Not just for centres, but for families and individual educators. So reach out, follow us on socials, join us for a catch up or just reach out and ask a question. We are here to help and support.
I’m delighted to have founded The Early Childhood Community, along with a group of like minded professionals, and having the opportunity to support centres, managers, Educational Leaders, teams and families to navigate the challenges our sector is facing. Whether those goals be around pedagogy and practice, program and documentation, compliance, Assessment and Ratings, management training, team training, leadership, interactions or setting engaging environments and experiences, we are here to help.
